What is collaborative learning?

In education, collaborative learning is a technique teachers use to group students together to impact learning in a positive way. Proponents of collaborative learning believe it helps students in many ways, as we'll see below. They theorize that working together increases learning outcomes. Collaborative learning can occur between just two students or within a larger group, and it can take a variety of forms. Let's take a look at Ms. Tyler's classroom; she's a pro at using collaborative learning to maximize learning.

How Technology Can Encourage Student Collaboration

Today’s employers say the capacity to collaborate to solve problems is going to be even more important for tomorrow’s workers than content knowledge. And a recent study shows employers are looking for people who can work effectively in teams.
Forward-thinking teachers are using technology to promote teamwork and collaborative projects, linking their students to classrooms across the globe. Yet building students’ collaborative skills is tough in traditional classrooms, where a teacher stands at the front of rows of students isolated by desks.

LET'S COLLABORATE AND WORK TOGETHER USING PADLET

Padlet is an Internet application that allows people to express their thoughts on a common topic easily. It works like an online sheet of paper where people can put any content (e.g. images, videos, documents, text) anywhere on the page, together with anyone, from any device.
